A brindle French Bulldog , nicknamed I'm on Fire, won the non-sporting group at the 134th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Monday night.

Second and third, respectively, were a Sharpei and English Bulldog.

Who wants I'm on Fire first thing Tuesday morning? None other than Frenchie lover Martha Stewart. He's going to be on her television show. Co-owner Marion Hulick says Stewart hasn't met him yet, but is eager to do so. Stewart's Frenchies (Francesca and Sharkey) are frequently photographed for her magazine.

Judge Dorothy Dalton thought this is the first Frenchie to win the group since the 1950s.

"Look at those ears,'' she says. "Sometimes I like to make noises in the ring to get the dog's ears to perk up, but you don't need to do that with this dog. Those ears set up so well.''

Dalton said I'm on Fire caught her eye as soon as she came into the ring. "His attitude is unforgettable,'' she said.

The breeder Shelley St. John says the Frenchies are velcro dogs. "If you're happy being on the couch, they're happy being with you there. But if you're out in the garden, they want to be there, too. These are not dogs to be left alone.''

They also seem to love kisses on the noses, as all of these women planted a big smooch on his soft nose.

A toy poodle won the toy group. A whippet won hound. Last group tonight is herding.
