Before we leave

For our last summer break of the season, we need to do a few things:

1.) Go downtown tomorrow night and acquaint Quinn to NYC. I've got to go lay out the welcome mat for the little guy. Consider me his older sister.
2.) Get packed. I need to make sure all of my medicines are in my bag (mommy says I have an eye infection to clear up). Plus my collars, dog treats and other toys.
3.) Do laundry. Okay, watch Bee as she does laundry.
4.) Lose three pounds so Bee doesn't throw her back out trying to trek me around Newark Airport.

Another set up

Meet Quinn.

He belongs to Bee's friend, B. (I swear they are not the same person, and no , Quinn isn't living here).

Quinn is about 3 months old, and resides in the West Village. He's a new member of our extended family. B. got him this weekend, and although we haven't met yet, I have a feeling he'll fit right into our little social system.

I might set Quinn up with Lucas, that mini Frenchie that Dee tried to set me up with that I wasn't feeling for some reason (maybe I'm over younger guys?).

We meet Wednesday. Welcome to the family, Quinn.

Pros and Cons

We're going away next weekend. Or so I think I'm going away with Bee to the Midwest Spa and Resort next weekend. I hear I have to go to the vet on Saturday to get all checked out before I hop on the plane.

Don't want to give anyone cooties.

Anyway.

Ei already left to go to Israel this morning. I mean, that seems much cooler than the Midwest Spa and Resort. Bee, why can't we go there?

Oh. I see. Yeah, guess that wouldn't be a good idea to hold my bladder taut through a 12-hour trip.

This is all I've done since last weekend. We ended up having a party last weekend, hosted by Ei and Kay. My own mother wasn't even here, having jetted off to the Hamptons with friends. Must say it worked out for the better, if my mother were here, I wouldn't have had as much wine, chips and veggies as Ei and Kay allowed. I was outright drunk!

I slept it all off on Sunday, before Bee could come home.

Last week was relatively quiet in the house, too, since everyone was working overtime and spending little time in the house. This weekend was the first real quality time I spent with my Mom all weekend. And it's a good thing the Olympics are on...it gives up both something to watch while we're curled up on the couch.
