Rotation

Number of roommates sleeping in New York City: three (Cee's in New Orleans saving lives. Came home from China on Sunday, didn't have time to unpack her bag. Left Wednesday morning)
Number of roommates that will wake up with a serious hangover on Thursday morning: one
Number of roommates that will wake up with a serious hangover on Friday morning: at least two
Number of roommates in need of some serious pre holiday primping (manicure, pedicure and blowout): two
Number of bottles of wine in the refrigerator: none
Number of bottles of champagne in the liquor cabinet: three

I don't know how Cee does it.

The roommates had no idea for months, in between their crazy work schedules and time spent in the house unconscious when they are here, that Cee and Nee broke up. Yes, they were going to move in together. But in the end, it didn't work out. End scene.

Of course, Cee doesn't stay out of the game for long.

I heard that Cee had another date last night. Bee couldn't get a good look at him (nor could she report back to me what he looked like), but Ei and Bee agreed that his voice sounded attractive. Like Spanish smooth jazz radio voice. They only other noises they heard were two pairs of footsteps towards the front door, that telltale slurping noise when people kiss, some whispers, and "I'll call you later."

Note to my mother: would you please have Cee sit you down and tell you how to get a man?

Happy Holidays

No turkey left. Maybe a spoonful of stuffing. But I think Bee ate the last of it.
Now Bee's sis is putting up the Christmas tree. Tinsel, lights, sleigh bells and all. I guess I should get into the holiday spirit.

Meanwhile, Black Friday turned up a lot of treats. I hear Bee sis is going to get a lot of home stuff, and the boys are getting some trucks and other toys. Bee's mom may get Nintendo Wii. That's contingent upon if she acts right. And acting right means getting Bee the purse SHE wants for Christmas.

I have to get my wish list together for Bee before she returns back to NYC. Any suggestions? All are appreciated. Ho, ho, ho.

Tryptophan

I'm stuffed.

Bee spent the holiday in the Midwest, but with her parents, not in Chicago with me and the kids. We reunite this weekend.
Cee spent the holidays in New Jersey. She's still full on empanadas.
Dee is in New York. She ate with London Fling at some fancy smansy restaurant. She could have been with me on the holiday, bt noooo...I'm still bitter about her moving out.
Ei was in Westchester. She never wants to see challah again.
Gi was in New Jersey. Curry for days. Even came back to the apartment smelling like it.

Now, every one of the roommies is in the malls for Black Friday. Fatter tummies, but soon to have skinny wallets.

Blind Item Guessing Game!

Which roommate back in NYC is spending her weekends in the clubs looking for "hot Europeans" unbeknownst to her very religious family? She spends more time at Marquee than practicing her classical tunes in her room.

What I'm missing

Number of people sleeping at Camp Midwest: five
Number of bathrooms: two
Number of floors that I get to roam all by myself: three
Number of kids who are on constant call to rub my belly whenever I demand: two
Number of times I go for walks outside: four
Average time I spend outside on those walks: 45 minutes
Amount of real protein (chicken, turkey, etc.) fed to me daily.: Almost as much as Bee eats in a week.

Life's good here. But I miss Bee. I miss how we used to go on walks and harass the Next Door Neighbor (before he moved out). I miss snuggling on the couch with Mom while she ate crackers and peanut butter, cause she'd always drop one and then I'd get a midday snack.

I miss Cee and Ei. That new one, Gi, I never got that close to, though she seemed to think we were best friends.

I miss being social with the other doggies down the street. I miss Louis, who I never got a chance to tell my true feelings. That's on my list of things to accomplish in 2008.

That's when I'll return.

Dude

I am ODing on candy corn!!!!!! They left the candy corn at doggie level!!!!!

Bee's sis is sending pictures of me looking my flyest in my Halloween costume. I spent the holiday in the Midwest with the kids this year, much different than Halloween of years past. At Bee's house, there was no trick-or treating, because in New York, it's not like we lived in the suburbs where you from house to house to go trick-or-treating, and we didn't live in a high-rise where the neighbors sign up for trick or treat and the kids go from apartment to apartment.

But I had fun. Dressed up like a pumpkin this year. Ate candy corn.

I heard Bee stayed at home and sat out Halloween this year. Stayed at home and worked. This is why I'm at Camp Midwest.

Pics to come.
