What happened?

Yes, you're wondering if I got lost within the 40 some-odd floors of our new building. You're wondering if some fabu homosexual Greenwich Villager kidnapped me when Bee tied me up in front of Starbucks.

You're wondering if I got into a fight at the Washington Square Park dog run (well, I did, but that was like our second day here. I'm fine now).

I disappeared, yes. But not for any of the reasons above.
Here's what really happened:

Just two weeks into living in the new place, I got sick. Really sick. First, my eyes got a bad infection. Both got swollen, red, and soggy with green ooze. Yuck. So I needed to take medicine for that.

But then, it didn't work. And then my right eye kept itching, and then it turned blue and red, and ....okay it was nasty.

On top of that, I got an allergic reaction to an old rug we had in the apartment (that we have since pitched). The fibers got stuck in my paws, and I kept licking them. And one paw became swollen to twice its size. OMG.

I was a mess. So after another trip to the vet, she gave me the remedy that would finally help me heal. However, I had to get what no dog wants to wear ever in life... a cone.

It keeps me from licking my swollen paw and scratching my swollen eyes, but it also makes me look like a complete dork. And it's awkward to manuever. I keep running into the furniture and getting caught on Bee's clothing. So annoying.

So that's why I haven't been able to keep in touch with you all in quite some time. I've had to heal. I'll be back on the scene by next week though. The vet said I could start being social by Tuesday.

Just in time for the holidays.

Finally

Cough! Cough! Sneeze! Sneeze!

Sorry, the dust has finally settled on our apartment. The boxes are unpacked, and my doggie bed has found a spot underneath the new desk Bee bought for her room. Down town is awesome. Have made some friends in the building already (there's four Frenchies: Lulu, Reggie, Otis and now me!).

Pics to come.
